DESCRIPTION
The desired outcome of SETI is an effective institutional, regulatory, and financial ecosystem that demonstrates the Indonesian embarkment towards a sustainable energy transition. The project will promote pilots, demonstration, and innovation in industry and on municipal level as well its replicability to benefit all energy users. With a multi-level and multi-stakeholder approach, experiences and lessons learnt from different sectors will be brought to the national level informing integrated policies as well as innovative and attractive financing for sustainable energy investments.
The four Outputs are:
- The institutional and regulatory framework towards an energy transition is strengthened;
- Public and private financing instruments for renewable energy and energy efficiency transition project implementation are strengthened;
- Capacities of Indonesian Industries for an energy transition have increased;
- Capacities in selected cities to develop a local sustainable energy ecosystem are increased.

KEY DELIVERABLES
• Adopted strategies, regulations, laws, or the like for a sustainable energy transition in cooperation with partners by end of project.
• Energy transition finance instruments to support RE & EE projects by end of project.
• Industrial companies and/or industrial parks implementing larger RE and/or EE measures in cooperation with partners.
• Started RE and EE initiatives by pilot cities established within a municipal long-term emission reduction plan.
