General Information

DESCRIPTION

The Southeast Asia Energy Transition Partnership (ETP) is a multi-donor partnership formed by governmental and philanthropic partners to accelerate sustainable energy transition in Southeast Asia in line with the Paris Agreement and Sustainable Development Goals.

ETP supports its partner nations, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines, in several areas: transitioning to a sustainable energy system, fostering economic growth, and ensuring energy security.

ETP combines the best of the public and private sectors with the UN to help mobilise and coordinate technical and financial resources to build the foundations for renewable energy, energy efficiency and sustainable resilient infrastructures.

In Indonesia, the program’s ongoing projects, among others, include upgrading the Java-Madura-Bali electricity control centre; a study of financial implications of early CFPP retirement; wind power investment roadmap to address barriers to developing wind farms; Solar 1 GW mapping; Streamlining Indonesia’s energy policy frameworks with the NZE targets; Catalysing Energy Efficiency as a Service in Indonesia, Capacity building for PLN through PLN’s Centre of Excellent, Industrial sector decarbonization, Integration of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), and the assessment of battery supply chain.
