DESCRIPTION
In Indonesia, the project supports the stakeholders in East Kalimantan and South Sumatra in transitioning away from coal fairly and ensures inclusive and long-term economic development. The focus is to achieve the following results:
a. Informed social dialogue and stakeholder engagement on just energy transition in coal regions
b. Policy advice to improve the policy framework for just energy transition, including gender aspects, is fed into respective policy processes.
c. Transformational measures to support the JET in the coal regions are rolled out.

KEY DELIVERABLES
• Establishment of Regional Consultation Forum as an instrument for inclusive and continuous stakeholder engagement in JET planning and policy formulation process.
• Regional economic transformation plan for South Sumatra and East Kalimantan
• Policy recommendations for integrating JET elements into the planning documents (e.g. RPJPD, RPJMD, RUED)
• Concepts of green business models and promotion to potential economic actors.
• Improved skills for workers, communities, and governments to participate in the planned economic transformation and the possible implementation of green business concepts.
