DESCRIPTION
The EU-Indonesia Cooperation Facility is the instrument to deliver the EU Multi-Annual Indicative Programme for Indonesia for the period 2021-2027. It aims to support policy-driven cooperation serving EU and mutual interests, complementing parallel EU projects financed under EU global and regional programmes, such as projects with finance institutions, with civil society and projects with the ASEAN.
The facility will deliver support through activities such as the provision of experts, exchange of knowledge, the organisation of events and studies. It aims to support cooperation with the Government of Indonesia, but also foresees engagement with other partners of EU cooperation such as EU Member States institutions, the private sector and civil society.
The facility started activities on 01 February 2023 for a period of 36 months with a budget of EUR 10 million and includes five areas of intervention:
- Support dialogues under the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA)
- Governance, Human rights, Gender Equality, and the 2030 Agenda
- Environment, Energy, and Climate change
- Trade and Investments
- Strategic Communication and Public Diplomacy
