The main purpose of Energy Hub is to improve coordination and synergy between the funding ministries from German (1.5 million EUR from BMZ and 1 million from IKI/BMWK as IKI-Flex JETP Support Package, and others) and the ministries in Indonesia (MEMR, Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, the Ministry of Finance) as well as increase visibility and representation of the German and Indonesia Energy Cooperation portfolio.

DESCRIPTION

The main purpose of Energy Hub is to improve coordination and synergy between the funding ministries from German (1.5 million EUR from BMZ and 1 million from IKI/BMWK as IKI-Flex JETP Support Package, and others) and the ministries in Indonesia (MEMR, Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, the Ministry of Finance) as well as increase visibility and representation of the German and Indonesia Energy Cooperation portfolio. Energy Hub has mandate in three activity areas, as follows:

  • Activity Area 1: Represent and consolidate German-Indonesia Energy Cooperation.
  • Activity Area 2: Foster dialogues and exchanges between German and Indonesian government and energy stakeholders.
  • Activity Area 3: Provide additional energy sector expertise outside of the existing project portfolio, in support of Indonesia’s Energy Transition and the JETP.

KEY DELIVERABLES

  • Communication and knowledge products are conceptualized and regularly disseminated, adapted to German and Indonesian partner audiences.
  • Energy cooperation is implemented successfully by the Secretariat of the German- Indonesian Energy Cooperation Hub.
  • Energy expertise requested by partners, including conducting technical studies and capacity development for energy transition topics and related to JETP target, that are outside of existing project mandates are provided.
